Thursday was the last mega-cooking day for the cookbook - we had my husband’s friends over for dinner and that was a nice closure of that chapter. And these sweet goodies were hopefully a nice closure for their dinner 🖤 Now it’s time to start thinking about the book cover 😱

It’s been a long while since the two of us popped up on this feed. This one is from a couple of days ago, taken at the family lunch/photoshoot for the cookbook (I truly emphatize with my family & friends for having to put up with all my ideas). Dugo vam nas dvije nismo mahnule ovako u tandemu pa ispravljamo propust 😊. Slika je od prije par dana, kad smo imali obiteljski ručak + snimanje za kuharicu (iskreno suosjećam sa svojom familijom i prijateljima što trpe sve moje ideje - i provedbu istih). I like myself a good challenge and I will write more about all the ways I've challenged myself while creating the Pantarul at Home cookbook, but one of the things that is certainly new is writing a book in two languages at the same time (there will be two separate books - one in English and another one in Croatian). While the English language is quite straightforward in its use of the words "teaspoon" and "tablespoon", Croatian usage of spoon-related words is unbelievably muddled and I have spent a lot of time thinking about how to make the book both precise and linguistically elegant at the same time. I still haven't reached a final decision, but at least that's one thing I don't have to worry about in English. ❓
Do you English-speaking guys know any Croatian words? Let me know in the comments! 🇭🇷 Ova je knjiga prilično izazovna u nekoliko apsekata, a jedan od njih je definitivno i pisanje dvije verzije knjige istodobno (bit će jedna hrvatska i jedna engleska verzija kuharice). I rekao bi čovjek da će na hrvatskom sve ići lakše, kad ono ćorak - još me more one žličice/jušne/čajne/male/velike žlice. Idealno bi bilo kad bi svi znali da je žličica = 5 ml, a žlica = 15 ml (što se naravno može naznačiti u uvodu knjige, ali to oni koji kuhaju u žurbi sigurno u tom trenutku neće čitati) i tako još nisam odlučila što da radim. Na Facebooku i u storyjima tu na Instagramu dali ste mi vrlo šarolike odgovore i ništa mi niste pomogli. Now it's OJ every morning and I think I'll keep the routine going until spring is here (seriously impatient about that!).
